1547 Alpenhaus

At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea-level, this Alpine hut – located in the immediate vicinity of the Oberholz Lift (Obereggen ski area) – is embedded in the existing slope. The cylindrical and organic architecture gives the hut the appearance of a sculpture nestled in the landscape – a structure enticing the viewer to explore its inner comforts.

Within the hard exterior shell made of textured, pigmented concrete, there’s a hidden cozy mountain hut with an inviting atmosphere. It is characterized by an honest regionality both with respect to the design and to the dining facilities. This was achieved by the application of a hybrid spatial concept and by enhanced value due to the flexible, natural, and cultural use.
