0575 The Burgstall – Vöran cableway mobility center

VALLEY STATION: The parking garage located to the north is designed as an open parking deck, and the open facades are clad with a translucent textile façade. This textile covering can be printed with any desired pattern or logo. The main access through “Level +5.00” is via the central vertical passageway located between the parking garage and the cableway. The enclosure of the steel-reinforced concrete structure for the cableway equipment (i.e., of the valley station) is by means of exposed shuttering with local wood. The flat roof is equipped with extensive roof greening. Due to its location on a slope, the valley station is in part sunk into the ground; the overall apparent height of the structure is thus reduced. MOUNTAIN STATION: The enclosure of the steel-reinforced concrete structure for the cableway equipment (i.e., of the mountain station) is by means of exposed shuttering with local wood and thus blends seamlessly together with the valley station. All of the other annexes and additions are built in traditional architectural styles (steel-reinforced concrete and brick with exterior plastering) and thus blend seamlessly in with the preexistent village buildings. The flat roofs lower the apparent height of the buildings, and the extensive roof greening serves to fully integrate the buildings into the verdant surroundings.
