0927 Reconstruction and refurbishment of a residential dwelling under protection as an historical monument

Project no.

0927

Year of construction

2012

Construction volume

2500

In view of the historical importance of such buildings, one major architecture issue is the optimal preservation of the “fabric” of the building and the exploitation of the latent qualities of the interiors and open spaces so that the building’s historical form and statement are retained. Old and in part rotten building parts are replaced and/or similar parts substituted. The facades of the main building are preserved and refurbished. The building is separated from adjoining structures and the new building (which will contain an apartment) will be built as a monolithic structure in the southwest corner according to the DFP and/or recovery plan and will be adjacent to the historic “fabric” of the building.
